It's possible to buy it cheaper outright with O2 if you choose the right plan and immediately pay the handset balance off.

The point was that you said apple won't allow anyone to sell cheaper but yet some do...

But you can't buy it sim free from AT&T - You have to buy it on a contract so it's not cheaper, they just divert some of the contract prices into the price they pay Apple for the handset.

You can make the numbers say what you want but the selling price is consistant (or higher, depending on demand) everywhere.....

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Also consider there is may contract variations; my one is split into two direct debits which come off on the same day - a fee for the handset and another for my calls/text/data.

With the iPhone contract is designed with all that in mind and it doesn't really matter how you pay for it, you will always pay the same for the handset. Some of the overall cost may be subsidised by O2 when you take out a 24-month contract.

That's the news dan' in da hood anyway.
