Can I upgrade my existing iPhone5 to 4G when my existing contract runs out in a months time or do I have to buy a new phone to get 4G?

By the way @Anonymous , you can upgrade a month before your contract end date, so you dont need to wait another month to get your new 4G phone!:smileywink:

If you don't want a new phone but do want 4g you can move to EE or Three as both will give you 4G with an iP5.
I also have a theory that if and when the Three takeover becomes reality that it will open 4G up to the phones previously unable to receive it on the O2 network. So you may just need to wait 12 months.....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
