I've been charging my phone but it seems within an hour of it being full charge it then dies. How do I stop this from happening?

Try a full restore or book an appointment at your local Apple Store as you need a new battery

Definitely sounds like your battery is kaput!

Get along to your local Apple store and get a replacement. Don't be tempted to buy a fake one online, it's just not worth the risk imo.

The battery is integral to the phone so get it checked out by Apple.
