I'm currently on Orange, and cancelling my contract, as they decided to over charge me for a full year before reimbursing me reluctantly...
I am looking to move to o2, and sign a contract and get the iPhone 4s... However, this is currently not available for new customers...
Anyone know how long for? or any rough estimation as to when they'll make it available... Its getting boring now... And after my speech to Orange about how i wont even call another person on Orange ever again, it would be shameful to go back and upgrade haha!

And given existing customers are having to wait a couple of weeks for delivery it's going to be a while for new customers...

I find this whole 'keep checking stock' approach completely outrageous.
Nobody has any information about stock levels and deliveries, yet at the same time, O2 clearly have stock for upgrading customers.
I'm ready, money in hand to become a new customer and give them lots of revenue, but already feel alienated because I am not allowed the handset I want.

well even apple cannot meet demand order online at apple and it says delivery 1-2 weeks so how can o2 know when the next delivery will arrive to be distributed happens each iphone launch.

Chill out guys, I'm a current contract holder with o2 and I cannot upgrade currently due to stock.

I know someone who upgraded over the phone last Friday and received her new 4S yesterday...so there is stock around.

I'm hoping they will be released for new customers very soon, or else O2 is going to miss out on a heck of a lot of Christmas order revenues....providing the stock is reaching them from Apple!

I doubt they will loose any sleep over it since they are clearly shifting every iPhone4s they can get their hands on
