"Apple has just released iOS 7.1.1 for public consumption.

A maintenance update, iOS 7.1.1 contains “improvements, bug fixes and security updates.”

Specifically, it makes Touch ID even more reliable than the previous iOS 7.1 update, while fixing a pair of bugs related to keyboard responsiveness and Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled."

The only concern I have with Beta is some don't understand that these iOS versions can be buggy and have come across people not happy as they are using their primary device for beta's which is a risk.

Valid concern and is probably the reason why I'm holding off on trying any of the beta OSX builds on my Macs. I may be more willing to give it a go for a major release which adds new features much as I do with my iOS devices at present but for a point release which doesn't really offer anything new it probably isn't worth the risk or hassle if something goes wrong

I haven't noticed a difference, although I didn't notice a drop with the previous upgrade.  I'm not the heaviest user though.
