Yep, me again, complaining about O2's ridiculius 4G coverage EVERYWHERE!!!!
Normally, I'd be saying its VERY poor at London Bridge rail station (well, actually, it STILL is) however, these last few months, its literally VERY POOR EVERYWHERE..........:smileysad:
Main areas I am talking about:
Its EVERYWHERE - 4G is ridiculous........... so much so, that I have decided to just leave my iPhone 6, connected via 3G ALL THE TIME (there are options to switch from 3G to 4G and vice versa) purely because its MUCH MUCH faster, browsing app and websites than 4G.
4G?
No thank you - its utterly broken.

Hi @DinoF,
Have you tested other networks in the same areas of London yourself?
...unfortunately not as my iPhone 6 is locked to O2 so I am unable to test!
Can't be any worse than O2 though..........
Unlock it for free from your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2
...I don't see a link anywhere to unlock my phone??
EDIT - Actually, I think I signed in with wrong account so will check - thanks.

...yep - I am indeed aware that coverage checkers are not 100% accurate however, its the statement that EE is "79% faster than O2" which grabbed my attention!!
I have a few months to make up my mind!
Get an EE PAYG sim and prove it to yourself first.
You only need one top up as a test and you can top an EE sim up with £5
...this wouldn't work in my iPhone 6 though as I bought this via O2, 2 years ago, when the phone was released so its probably locked to the network.
I got a pay as you go EE sim. Immediately the difference was like night and day compared to O2. Luckily, my iPhone was bought direct from Apple and was unlocked. But its an easier enough thing to get it unlocked when needed

I had a dual sim phone back in the UK. Whilst o2 4G was decent enough, I found EE was superior in many places except the local pub but even in the village of Oswaldtwistle EE gave 55Mb download.

Mine too had been going on for most of the year (poor data etc). I foolishly decided to stop with O2 for another year. But in 2015, I'd had enough and moved from O2 after around 16 years.
...yea, in the same boat here! Have been with O2 since the BT Cellnet days but over the last 2 or 3 years, signal coverage and 4G data speeds, have become gradually worse and worse.
This alone is reason to change:
"79% faster than O2" - DAYAM!!! That IS a shocker!!!!
Roll on September..............
In my experience, especially on EE's double speed 4G (which you get on the £15 and above pay as you go everything packs, and as far as I can see, all of their pay monthly plans) the speeds I get are mostly faster than my home fibre broadband.
I regularly get 60+ MB/s with EE.
Here's a recent speedtest I done:
