I have an unlocked iphone4 that was locked to the o2 network. When I try to activate a sim of a different carrier over wifi it doesn't activate, it says no service.

Hi @Anonymous
Did you get the phone unlocked properly?

I ask because if it was unlocked you shouldn't be having this problem?

I put the new sim in and it doesn't do anything except say no service when I am connected to my wifi. But the sim activates when I connect to itunes only.

I bought the phone second hand so I will have to ask the original owner if they got it unlocked properly

Re your statement above about buying second hand.....
Apart from any WiFi issue does this phone work properly otherwise? Are you able to connect to the internet?

Is it possible to get the phone unlocked again if it hasn't worked properly
