My mum is having an issue with her iPhone (yes she got it back again!).

This morning she went to update her apps in the app store (she had 8 to update - Facebook, bingo blitz, etc).

Upon clicking update it asks her to put her password in, which she does, but then nothing happens.  The app she clicked to update, the wheel (to show that it is updating) disappears and it is as if she hasn't clicked to update the app.  The same happens on all 8 apps.

I logged her in to her Apple account online to check that she is using the correct password and she is.

I have double clicked the home button to close the app store, I have logged her out of Apple/iTunes on her phone and I have done a hard reset but it is still not working.

Has anybody got any ideas?

Try the last part of my reply.

Have you also tried Reset All Settings.

You do have the option of a Genus Bar Appointment or try just nipping in if your near an Apple Store.

My local one will see you if there not busy. slight_smile

My local Apple store are sick of seeing me - I always go in for problems with my phone, my iPad, my sisters phone, my sisters iPad, my mums phone, or my nephews iPad lol.  They don't like going to the Apple store so basically its like my 2nd home already lol.

Up to now my mums phone is working ok.

In the end that's what they are there for ,and get paid for.

Apple instigate the importance of Customer Service in their Specialists and Genius's ,as it's a primary factor.

Good to hear your mums Apps updated. How did she go on about resolving it ?

Sorry @Anonymous i've only just noticed your reply.

When I plugged her phone the computer it wouldn't let me update the apps.  Although the icons were there, it was as if they had not been downloaded.  So I had to go to the app store and download them again.  Then I synced it with the phone and it's working now. slight_smile

I give it a week before my mum is complaining about something else on her iPhone - last week she was complaining that she couldn't play Bingo Blitz because the app would not update lol Crazy
