Just a heads up for anyone with an iphone 4. You can now get apps that use the flash as a torch. Just picked up a free one from the app store which can even strobe the light, useful if you ever get stuck in a ditch in the dark and want to draw attention to yourself!

Bet all those who have decided not to upgrade will be jealous of us with our built in torches!

Excellent, wasnt something I'd even thought to look for. Very handy.

Surprised that some people try charging for an app that switches on a light, but grabbed a free version.

Oh not this one though. Unless I'm missing something this just makes the screem white, you want one that turns the LED on.

i got 'LED Light for iphone 4'. Provided its free, I'm sure all apps will be quite similar! Defo much better than the old option that was an app that made the screen all white

Whoops.... sorry about that - picked on an old app from the previous phone. LED flashlight is the one I really meant!
