I've been waiting 12 days now, still no money took, no text, no email. I phoned them day 10 and asked if it's normal or what, and they just said "You'll need to wait 14 days, if the phone hasn't been unlocked, ring us back"..

I was thinking perhaps the money should be taken by now?!

Well my take on this is that we do not need a sticky for unlock issues as the only people that can help are o2 customer service.

There is already in my sticky a link to the form and the faq.

The whole point of forums that are customer led is that cutomers can help each other on anything that require no intervention from customer service like setting things up etc but account issues (unlocking) needs direction to customer service and not these forums.

If you like I will make the section clearer on unlocking in my sticky anybody got some suggestions apart from the links already there. see my signature link.

Would it help to put a kind of "Please read this before you put your question" post on the top which answers most common questions like the wait time for unlock, how the unlock is a universal thing- SIM card from any country can be used and that you can safely upgrade to any version of software without losing the unlock?

Some people will still put the questions out there but maybe can reduce them a bit.
