Recycling iPhone - who to use?

I sold my 32GB 3Gs on eBay for £400 - much more then the £260 other places were offering!!

Beware if sending the phone of to companies though. Ive read many reports on the company receiving the phone and then lowering the agreed price saying the screen is cracked etc - basically tell you anything that could have happened in transit! They then reduce the amount. If you do not agree, they take several weeks to send the phone back to you - and you receive it back fine!

I recommend Mazuma

I sold my iPhone 3G to them when upgrading to 3GS along with an old Nokia N95 and a Sony Ericsson I had lying around - they gave me exactly what they said they would for the phones and paid me directly into my bank account with a few days from receipt of the phones.

I've just been offered £213 for my 3GS with them so am doing the same again to cover the cost of the iPhone 4 and give me a bit of spare change too!

Mazuma

Would definately recommend Mazuma.
I sold a few old phones that were lying around the house when I got my 3g. Have just sent them the 3g after agreeing to the web price on friday, return envelope arrived saturday, posted Monday lunch & money in the bank Tuesday afternoon & the agreed price as well. Plenty of emails from them so you know what the progress is.

Re: Recycling iPhone - who to use?

Mazuma don't normally offer the best price, but they are extremely quick and update you every step of the way. I got the money in my bank account the same day they received the phone, can't argue with that! Some places that offer more money take significantly longer to check the phone send you the money, so if there wasn't much in it I'd use mazuma myself.

Re: Recycling iPhone - who to use?

As my contract is up in July I took an interest in this, for my 3GS Masuma would give me £150 same day bank transfer. But then checked o2 recycle and they will give me £142 and I can walk out with an upgrade so for the £8 loss that seems very worthwhile to me!

Re: Recycling iPhone - who to use?

I sent recently a HD2 Phone of to a Mobile Mail in company recently (a top name one i think on here too) and they offered £150+ for the phone. Ok for me as i had just bought a Sim free iphone 4.
They emailed me advising that they had reduced the payement by £30 as there was a scratch on the screen. I had 3 days to let them know if i wanted the phone back. Whats even more interesting, the reduced monies went into my back the same day that i had 3 days to see if i wanted my phone back.
Well I can tell you there wasnt and the phone was in amazing, infact factory condition.
I rang, emailed and even said i will fight all the way and I have an witnes who would vouch that the phone is in superb condition etc. Oh and by the way, I even had photos of the phone and video to prove the condition and more proof was the phone was placed in 2 padded envelopes and a cushioned box and witnessed too.
Next day I got the £30 and a Oh sorry we looked at the wrong phone excuse.
It shows you what they can really do, but dont be bullied by them. I also think they got fed up of my emails and phone calls. I even found there landline number they use so i didnt even pay for a call.
I will never use them again and use the other company i always used to send my mobiles of to and received superb service.
Carphone warehouse also offers a good service too and monies take a couple of days to be credited into your bank
