If it is a standard sms text message, and not an imessage/whatsapp/mms etc, I didn't think you needed to worry about internet signal strength, as it will send from the 2G connection the phone uses for calls? So as long as the phone has service it should send, unless there is a different problem?

You don't need 4G to send text messages or imeggages, it sounds like there is a mast problem in your area tbh.
Try cleaning the sim card and switching the phone off/on as a starting point.

Thanks for that @jonsie To be honest I was about to post similar advice. I dont have 4G here...and could assure the OP I can send and receive text messages. In fact that particular job was handled perfectly well when I only had an old 2G phone.....:smileywink:

As long as there is good 2G signal there should be no issues, we all lived quite happily on 2G/3G before smartphones got too clever for us.

Hi @Anonymous are you still having problems with 4G coverage and sending text messages?
