No service

I recently got an iPhone 5c, and got a new sim. My phone was working perfectly until the carrier said it had an update, my carrier is on 18.0 right now. Ever since I updated the carrier the phone has had no bars and sometimes no service. I've tried multiple sim cards and restore, I've also tried all the little quick fixes like airplane mode, and no automatic carrier, and still no luck.

I'd get it checked by Apple myself.

Sometimes the carrier update comes as a notification, you could try restoring as a new iPhone & see if that wakes it up but make sure you back everything up first

I've just realised one thing, when I restore via the settings. After the restoration my iPhone carrier will say searching, until I get to wireless network settings on the hello menu. Then it will say no service, if I go back and click activate through Mobile data, then it will fail and then I clcik back to wifi settings and enter my wifi network, it will show 4 bars, however I am still unable to phone, receive calls or text

First off I would check with customer service that your account is ok. If all is well then you do need to get the phone checked out. If you have another phone to try your sim card then at least it will rule that out.

Is this a phone that you have had from new or was it second hand from somewhere?

I'm getting a feeling that this could be a second hand job
