I have tested the water, as a result of this thread, to see what kind of response I get.
The last experience I had with unlocking a Blackberry, it took about six weeks. Trying to unlock an iPhone 4 at the moment is a challenge I couldn't resist.

Submitted the form earlier today.
I was impatient so I spoke to someone on Live Chat who did it for me there and then, was done in a few mins

If you can't go through o2, you can search google for o2 iphone unlocking. It will take you straight to the unlocking page.

I can also confirm. I just had mine unlocked as well. Filled out the form this morning, got the email this evening, popped in a 3 mobile micro sim and itunes gave the unlocked message!
