Ok if any one is still having some issues with MMS, Ask o2 to check your MMS activation at there end.
Customer services may advise its showing on there system, but they have another system is Tech support and they can see if its been fully activated.
Some do seem to have and some dont, Some one that i work with tried 3 days with customer care until he managed to speak to Tech support who advised that it wasnt fully activated correctly and he can fix this and try sending a mms in 24 hours, he did and it worked the day after as promised.
Im not saying it will work, but its worth a try.
Altho since IOS 5.1 ive not had one failure with MMS on 2g or 3g which is puzzling why some are still not working?

I've just spoken to a very helpful lady called Sandra in O2 Customer Service.
I mentioned this post, and she put me on hold whilst she spoke to Technical support. She confirmed that the ABS system (I think this is the front-end CRM system used by customer service agents) shows me as having MMS, but the MPF system (I might not have the correct name, I assume a back-end system) does not.
The solution is to place one order on ABS to remove MMS, wait for it to complete. Then place another order to provide MMS. This 2nd order should kick the MPF system to give me real working MMS. The two orders explains why they advise 24 hours.

Niall,
The info Sandra gave you is correct. Once your services are provisioned it you should be able to use the services.
