Re: MMS not working on iPhone 4S

I've followed all of the things suggested including loading the free resizing app and it doesn't work for me I'm afraid, I'm a web designer by trade and I'd say verging on a geek from a tech knowledge point of view so I'm not sure where you go from here other than wait for a proper fix from O2 or Apple.

Re: MMS not working on iPhone 4S

Well, I've tried both solutions - resetting iMessage routine plus the resize method and neither worked :smileysad: both end up with the exclamation mark in the red circle. it gets 90% and then waits for an age and the the red circle appears.
I've tried sending to two different handset in case that's the issue.
I've tried with the data roaming switched off and on just in case.
Neither worked
As a test I changed the Mobile data settings and for the MMS APN I changed it from idata.o2.co.uk to wap.o2.co.uk and can send picture messages fine but the data network for everythin else (every network activitie) fail so I've had to change it back to idata.
Please help someone ...

Re: MMS not working on iPhone 4S -->> RESOLVED <<--

Resolved it, purely by accident really.
In a desperate attempt to try to get this working I went to Settings -> General -> Network -> Mobile Data Network then scrolled to the bottom of the list and hit 'Reset Settings''. I accepted the pop-up message 'reset all related settings to original values' and hey-presto - MMS messages work (so far anyway). 3 MMS's sent to different phones in different circumstances without issues.
I'd always avoided this particular reset button in the past as the 'original values' message put me off as I assumed it would blank them.
Try it - it may work for you too.

Re: MMS not working on iPhone 4S

Forget all of the above - just tried it again, with same images and it failed :smileysad:

Re: MMS not working on iPhone 4S

Let's hope so! I found the resizing app fixed the problem but would be much easier not having to do this. Fingers crossed!

Re: MMS not working on iPhone 4S

I've sent 3 picture messages in a 2G area and mine appear to be working now too! Looks promising!

Re: MMS not working on iPhone 4S

I've upgraded to iOS 5.1 and still can't send a standard MMS to non-iOS 5 phones!?! I've tried resetting network settings, cutting down the message size to 500000 and turning 3G off. Still no joy.
Is anybody else still having an issue?
