I am doing this new update on my iPhone 5, and I am just wondering how long it takes because it's been on one screen for ages with an iTunes symbol and a charger symbol and it has been like this for nearly two hours, also I can't access my phone of turn it back on.

Disconnect phone from PC and reconnect it with iTunes running and it should go into recovery software download automatically for you.

Hope your sorted.

If you are still stuck after going through all the tips and advice then if you have a local Apple Store then either make an appointment here http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/ or if it's close pop in and if there not busy a specialist I'm sure will help.

Issues such as this can be caused if your phone is full or almost full, so when you get back up and running have a clear out of any old photos, apps and videos etc that you don't need anymore.
