Iphone 5s keep connecting to GPRS

Hi I am on my second iphone 5s in a week . The first one keeps losing 3G signal and changing to GPRS , which means if I'm out and about I cannot connect to internet or check e mails etc . I have spoken to customer services and changed a few thins , I went into O2 shop and they check SIM card and that was ok . I have received new phone today and it is only doing same thing so it can't be the handset this time . Has anyone any ideas ? Does O2 need to send settings to my phone !!!??? I have been with orange for years and never had a problem or on my iPhone 4S !

Just an update. I've taken my phone into Apple for a genius appointment.
The phone is ok and they suggest yet another restore. They say that this is not an issue with this model and haven't had any other complaints about this, hmmmmm. I was even told that you should be able to make calls on 4G (thought it was data only, 3G for calls/Data) and that GPRS Is faster than E. Genius, not sure about that...
O2 signal problem or Apple hardware problem, still no wiser!

Sometimes you can be given duff info from any shop/business.

It happens.

Not sure what else you can do now.

My iPhone 5s does not have this issue on O2 payg 4G.

Is your carrier O2 15.6

Yep same carrier settings. (O2 15.6) Funny thing today I saw E for the first time on this phone. It might, just might be a location problem. Android, I hear you calling, what's that? It's Yoda in the distance.

I've got 4G on my HTC One right now and I'm 5 miles off the map for 4G coverage slight_smile

99.9% of the time I'm on 4G and then 3G.

It's very rare i see e or GPRS.

If you've lost faith then try an alternative handset to see if the signal strength improves.

What I suggest is borrow another make of phone and field test it in your area.
