Not sure what is wrong with the sms unless it's an ongoing problem from yesterday. Did you reboot the phone after changing the settings as it is advisable? Have you tried sending one to yourself?
Check your mms settings against these:
Please ensure that when entering O2 into the settings that the letter O is selected and not a zero.

If there is a problem with the phone, Apple will change it for you straight away. Presuming you got it from O2, they should also change it as you are well within the 14 days. Sorry couldn't help any further, someone else may have some other ideas for you.

That's really strange. As long as the message centre number +447802092035 is correct then sms should work. I can only think there is a problem with the phone or the simcard.

So glad you got it sorted eventually. Hopefully you can now enjoy the phone.

I've done all the things listed in Jonsie's mail and the phone works fine for a few days and then reverts back to pay monthly settings !
It's an Iphone 4 that used to be on a monthly contract but is now used with a PAYG sim. This is very frustrating so any help to solve this issue would be appreciated.
