I know we have time before these two are officially released but where would O2 stand with pairing these devices together as shown in the demos? This allows better continuation between devices, shared work and text messaging. My guess is that this would come under tethering but its best to ask.

Yes that's a spec called handoff And continuity.

https://www.apple.com/ios/ios8/continuity/

Calling over wifi is something we'll have to see if O2 supports it or not as they currently offer tugo to contract customers.

What do you mean "pair" ?

They are apple softwares not devices.

O2 as far as I can see don't come into how say an iPhone or iPad pairs with a mac or MacBook Air / pro.

I'm looking forward to the many specs such as handoff.

I cant get a link to the demos, as im on my phone, but with these two software upgrades it allows the devices to pair together when they are within a certain distance. For example the texts messages are synced from the phone to the mac and you can make calls and texts via the mac. Other features include starting an application on one and finishing on the other. I was wondering if O2 had any policy on this just like they used to have on tethering.
