Not being an Apple person, I just saw this article and thought I'd post it. I think this is a reliable source.

That's great that you're not having problems, but as you've been running beta versions, you obviously know what you're doing. This link, within the original link I posted, also says that there are lots of enhancements in IOS 8 that just can't be used by the iPhone 4S: http://arstechnica.com/apple/2014/09/ios-8-on-the-iphone-4s-performance-isnt-the-only-problem/

I would tend to agree with MI5's assessment, and say that this upgrade of IOS 8 is there to ensure that the iPhone faithful go out and buy a new phone, so that they can have all that IOS 8 offers. I'm not knocking it. It makes good business sense. That's why I own Apple stock. wink

My mum has the iPhone 4 and she can't get the iOS8 update so now that I have a new iPhone, we are passing our phones down so my sister will have my iPhone 5s and my mum will have my sisters iPhone 5 lol

That's nice Gemma.

iOS 8 on my 5S is snappier than iOS 7 and the battery 'seems' to be lasting longer too.

Early days.

I put 8 on my iPad minis (non retina) and one of them was super super laggy when I first did it. Gutting! The other one however was fine. They are both brand new - only got them a few weeks ago, so I thought 1/2 must have been faulty somehow.

However, after two days it was fine. No lag. Quite strange!

Some others have said pretty much the same. Glitches at first and then it settles !
