I have paired my ipad and iphone but still cannot get internet on my ipad

I have paired (tethered with a personal hotspot) my iPad2 with my iPhone4 but I cannot get internet on my iPad.  What am I doing wrong?

Hi.

So your on an O2 pay monthly contract.

Toggled on the personal hotspot in your iPhone.

Turned on wifi in your iPad.

It then should see your iPhone as a tether connection.

Input whatever password you've chosen to pair.

Then the two circles should show in th status bar showing a tether connection.

Also check your Service Status with your full postcode just to ensure your masts are ok.

I made this video guide a while back showing how to Tether/Personal Hotpspot an iPhone and iPad.

It was written for iOS 6 but the instructions should still be valid now with iOS 7.

Bear in mind that old tariffs from before 2011 did not have tethering.
