HELP! iPhone 5 Unlatching request rejected?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I have been trying to unlock my iPhone 5 using the online form. The first time the request was rejected as my new SIM Card had barely been used. I realised this and made a few calls/texts/web... it is now showing in my 02 account as attached to my Mobile number.

However, immediately after receiving the rejection e-mail I filled out the form again to be rejected again (and again 24 hours later), but this time with the following message 2x:

"

** THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE **

Hi,

This iPhone unlatching request has been rejected as there are multiple
unlock requests received.

Thank you,

O2 Customer Service

"

How long must I have to wait before I am able to re-apply for the unlock?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Give customer service a call or even use live chat to request the unlock. Explain the situation  and as long as there is £15 credit on the phone you should  be  able  to  get  the  phone  unlocked  that way.

Hi @Anonymous This must have been really frustrating for you but it does show the security system kicked in.

As said. you would be better to ring customer services and explain what happened. They can process the unlock request for you

If you are on contract call 202 or PAYG call 4445.

I have just contacted O2 Customer Services on Live Web Chat (Rajiv). According to him, the reason why my handset can't be unlocked and the reason why I am getting the above message is because this iPhone was not bought from O2.

Has anyone else come across this issue? Must the handset have been purchased from O2? This is an ex-contract handset.

Any help would be appreciated.

It makes no difference where you bought the phone. Call them and be assertive but polite...
