Looks like O2 just opened up unlocking for the iPhone 6 and 6+ within contact (device plan still outstanding).

Hi everyone. Can anyone please tell me with confidence that iphone 6 64Gb is possible to unlock in first week. I bought phone on contract just yesterday from O2 they promised me that I can unlock it in two three days for free. I filled unlocking from today and got reply:

"I'm sorry, we have not been able to unlatch your device at this time.
The reason given is:

Sorry, you?ve not passed our security checks with the detail you gave
us. Please check you?ve provided the correct information and then resend
the form.

Thank you,

O2 Customer Service"

I tried twice, I was wondering if anyone knows for sure that is possible to unlock in first week or after how long of using. I am on friday going abroad for almost one month and really need unlocked phone. Thank you a lot.

Have a look at this link to see if you qualify? They are now unlocking them but it's possible your details arent up to date.We were told officially last week they are unlocking..

Yes, it is possible, but you have either entered the wrong answer to your security question or not filled in your tariff details correctly on the form.
It might be easier if you call CS and request it over the phone http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

You did use the phone to make a couple of calls and texts before sending off the form?
