Can't delete emails

Since running an update in my iPhone yesterday I don't have the option to delete emails???

Try doing a hard reset:

 

Hold both the sleep/wake button and the Home button. Keep holding them both until you see the white Apple logo appear, once you see this release both the buttons. slight_smile

Do both the swipe to delete and the delete option inside the email not work?

Well, when I try to delete any emails, I get the following message.....

 

Unable to Move Message

THe message(s) could not be moved to the mailbox Trash,

 

THis does sound wierd as I got a few I want to delete Smiley Mad

Tu Go = v2.5.0.431 permanently Turned OFF
128gb iPhone 6+ Slate Grey on O2 Network
No signal or 1bar 2G reception in rural location with O2

OOOOoOooooooo, looks like I have found a way to do it Smiley Very Happy

 

Look Here

 

Following the link above and complete it making sure you type in the worrd, 'INBOX' in capitals and then you will be able to delete emails from your Inbox.

 

It worked for me great Smiley Very Happy

 

It will also add a new Trash can that you will then just need to go into and complete a full delete and off the iPhone for good

Tu Go = v2.5.0.431 permanently Turned OFF

No signal or 1bar 2G reception in rural location with O2

I had never even considered that option as a fix. Haha makes perfect sense though:)

Even if it is a sort of bodge, it works for me and everyone else I hope.

 

At least we can empty out our old emails now slight_smile
