Re: CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVIN

Most forums de-activate an account when a user changes their e-mail address, some send an automatic mail to the new e-mail address with a link to click to re-activate yourself. Other forums send a message to admin so they can manually re-activate the user.
By the way in my earlier post I didn't fail to grasp your point, I wasn't answering anything other than the reason why your account was deactivated when you changed your e-mail address and Abs response confirms my thought about being lost among the spam.

Re: CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVIN

Most forums de-activate an account when a user changes their e-mail address, some send an automatic mail to the new e-mail address with a link to click to re-activate yourself.

Of course; MOST do it this way because it's fully AUTOMATED, with the link received IMMEDIATELY to click on and verify new email address to user account.
Other forums send a message to admin so they can manually re-activate the user.

This is the BAD WAY of doing it — as it's MANUAL, so it's taking DAYS around here to get re-verified (and that's only if they actually manage to find you in their spam! Which O2 clearly are not doing, otherwise this issue would not be happening to me and others repeatedly!!)
For some reason, this multinational company has allowed the latter to be set-up: a stupid system where emails get lost in their spam, with absolutely NO way to then contact the admin as you cannot login to do so! This is very unprofessional. Why are they not fixing this when they know it's an issue they should be addressing?
And my question (B) ^above^ I notice you have failed to comment on entirely. Another issue especially important if they are continuing to wrongly use the manual verification methodology that is not working properly.

Are the mods going to be polite, by actually addressing users here directly on this fundamental issue of account security or not?

So admins on here can't be bothered: how unexpected!

EDIT: this happened shortly before the new Lithium forums had been used. So some of these issues may be moot, but this remains to be seen yet.
