CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVING)?!

7 days ago I logged in under my proper account username on O2 forums "jimthing0" to change my email address to my new one.
Then this sequence of events:
1) I was then automatically logged OUT.
2) I received an email to my *new* email address from email address "admin@o2.co.uk":
"Hello jimthing0,
Your account on "O2 Forum" has been deactivated, most likely due to changes
made to your profile. The administrator of the board will need to activate
it before you can log in. You will receive another notification when this
has occurred.
--
O2
"
3) Tried to log IN — got message online here that "Your account has been deactivated, It will have to be reactivated by an admin before you can login". Not great.
4) Waited 24hours — nothing happened.
5) I have sent FOUR emails over the last 7 days to the "admin@o2.co.uk" email address to get reactivated — nothing happened!
6) I phoned O2 Customer Service — they didn't have ANY info on forums whatsoever, as per usual they know nothing and offered no real help, so I gave up!
7) Now had to set-up this NEW account (using another email address I have) in order to write this post in order to finally try and get an admin to reactivate my original account!
A) Why was my account deactivated in the first place, after simply changing something (my email address) in my forum profile?
B) Why is there absolutely NO contact info on the forum FAQ or T&C forum pages, for when users who cannot log-in to be able to contact admin? (Clearly a fatal flaw that should be fixed.)
And most importantly, for me personally, of all:
C) Why the hell are ADMINS NOT REACTIVATING MY ACCOUNT or contacting me, following the email rec'd in point 2 above???
Help!

Re: CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVIN

Thanks adam.
I sent a PM to two admins, one of which was abs@o2.
(the only way i could figure just WHO the admins were, was to look through some of the threads for those with "...@O2" on their username. As they are NOT listed anywhere!).
A couple of hours ago I eventually got an email a confirming reactivation — from WHO exactly, I have no idea, except the email was admin@o2.co.uk
"Hello jimthing0,
Your account on "O2 Forum" has now been activated, you may login using the
username you received in a previous e-mail.
Your password has been securely stored in our database and cannot be
retrieved. In the event that it is forgotten, you will be able to reset it
using the email address associated with your account.

HOWEVER, the main questions I originally asked above still remain unresolved:
A) Why was my account deactivated in the first place, after simply changing something (just my email address) in my forum profile?
B) Why is there absolutely NO contact info on the forum FAQ or T&C forum pages, for when users who cannot log-in to be able to contact admin? (Clearly a fatal flaw that should be fixed.)
And most importantly, for me personally, of all:
C) Why the hell did ADMINS NOT REACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT or contacting me, following the deactivation email rec'd???

Can an admin please give some answers to these questions I raised, as it caused me serious problems over the last week.

Re: CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVIN

I assume that, as on the music forum I run, when a user changes their email address, the forum automatically requires admin to reactivate the member. All admin on the music forum receive an e-mail for every sign up/amendment but we get literally hundreds of spam sign ups each day so the amendment mails get lost among those. We don't have an automatic 'contact us' mailbox but most existing members do as you did and mail admin (although on ours admin are easy to identify and to contact).

Re: CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVIN

Sorry DAW, but you fail to grasp my main point.
I had RE-SIGNUP under a new username with another email address just in order to contact the admin here. Which is just not right.
Either they shouldn't be deactivating user accounts in the first place; if admin (as you say you can't on your site) "keep-up with telling the spammers from their actual users".
Or they should not have left me blowing in the proverbial wind for over a week waiting to be reactivated. (And If I hadn't re-signed up under another dummy user account yesterday to raise the issue here, I bet I would have NEVER been contacted back from admin around here!). Unacceptable when you run a forum that deactivates users automatically, especially on customer forums of a multinational company.
This is not the right way to treat longterm users, period.
Hence I want some answers to the three very simple questions (A to C above) from the admin before I take it further. Why are they being silent here?

Re: CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVIN

The admin of this forum is outsourced to a company in India I believe. They don't get involved in speaking to users. The email address you were contacting is probably not manned.

I'd imagine your reactivation request was probably missed. These things happen. Yes it was a pain to register another username in order to then contact the @O2 staff but it's not normal to have to do that. My account was reactivated quickly when I changed my email address.
I'd let the issue drop, no point getting stressed over something which is sorted now and that you'll not get much further with.

"I'd let the issue drop, no point getting stressed over something which is sorted now and that you'll not get much further with."
Why should I let the issue drop, this is not a one-off either. Don't make excuses for mismanagement otherwise you let them off the hook for their behaviour.
It's unacceptable for longterm users on here to have to sign-up under a dummy account, just in order to get access to their main account because there is no other way to contact the admin directly. Especially as I actually sent MULTIPLE emails to the so-called admin email account admin@o2.co.uk with no response whatsoever, and the first deactivation email had a clear "Reply-To" address on it, with no info to say users shouldn't respond as it was supposed to be a no-response email.
"The admin of this forum is outsourced to a company in India I believe. They don't get involved in speaking to users. The email address you were contacting is probably not manned."
Oh well that's OK then?! You 'believe' this, is not exactly confirmed info is it. And so what anyway, does this mean Indian outsourcing means 'don't expect it to be run properly'?
There are other threads on the boards that have had similar issues in past, so it's about time some answers were forthcoming. They should be changing their systems if this kind of thing is happening, not just ignoring the issue.

Re: CANNOT LOG-IN TO FORUMS (REACTIVATION EMAILS NOT ARRIVIN

Rec'd a PM from "Abs@o2", so for complete transparency have quoted it here:
Hi there,
Did some investigation - I'm assuming when you changed your email address, the account was automatically pushed back into the activation queue and somehow got lost in amongst all the spam.
however, you should be able to log in again now - the changes have been made to your account. Let me know for any further concerns!
Thanks
Abs

Yes I do have concerns Abs, can you please answer the questions I have raised above. My point C has been answered, but A and B below have not been, and I think they are important.
I have PM'd Abs to respond directly here. So other users can have a searchable reference if they encounter a repeat of the issue themselves in future will hopefully then know what, and HOW, they can get it resolved.
