"I'd let the issue drop, no point getting stressed over something which is sorted now and that you'll not get much further with."
Why should I let the issue drop, this is not a one-off either. Don't make excuses for mismanagement otherwise you let them off the hook for their behaviour.
It's unacceptable for longterm users on here to have to sign-up under a dummy account, just in order to get access to their main account because there is no other way to contact the admin directly. Especially as I actually sent MULTIPLE emails to the so-called admin email account firstname.lastname@example.org with no response whatsoever, and the first deactivation email had a clear "Reply-To" address on it, with no info to say users shouldn't respond as it was supposed to be a no-response email.
"The admin of this forum is outsourced to a company in India I believe. They don't get involved in speaking to users. The email address you were contacting is probably not manned."
Oh well that's OK then?! You 'believe' this, is not exactly confirmed info is it. And so what anyway, does this mean Indian outsourcing means 'don't expect it to be run properly'?
There are other threads on the boards that have had similar issues in past, so it's about time some answers were forthcoming. They should be changing their systems if this kind of thing is happening, not just ignoring the issue.

Did some investigation - I'm assuming when you changed your email address, the account was automatically pushed back into the activation queue and somehow got lost in amongst all the spam.
however, you should be able to log in again now - the changes have been made to your account. Let me know for any further concerns!
