Yes, you need a new code each time you take a new contract.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thanks, so as I got it from a friend, they would need to supply me with a new code to get the bolt on on my upgrade?

What they said. When I upgraded to a 6+ they said I would need a new code but that wouldn't work anyhow due to the iPhone 6/6+ being excluded from the offer

iPhone 13 Pro Max 25gBG,
iPad 9th Gen,
Apple Watch Ultra,
,Airpod Pro,
Apple TV 4K,
Apple TV HD,

Hat right L_W_Ward

Still find it a little harsh not including new iPhones in this and the Open Code discount.

I've just been in an O2 store, and they told me that this is true.

And allegedly the staff cannot get any discount yet on a 6!

Always the same at any new iPhone launch. O2 have never allowed discount (for upto 6 months) on any new iPhone.

Friends and family discount does work - I got it applied for my brother. But the friend or family member who works for O2 has to request it via text.
