tethering (usb or wifi) not working

Anonymous

Hi

I just got an upgrade to an HTC One M8 today, with a 4G sim. I did the sim switch from my old sim and the new phone is working (phone and 4G data) fine.

However, I tried tethering to my laptop via wifi and usb and it connects up but the laptop is not getting any internet. It says no internet access with the little yellow exclamation sign.

I used to be able to use the wifi hostpot fine on my old sim/phone so unless O2 have taken out the ability to do this on my new tariff, I don't know why it won't work...

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Matt

It has 3GB of data, I mentioned the fact that 4G is working fine from the handset itself.

I actually got it working in the end by rebooting the handset a few times.

Thanks

Matt
