s6 edge wont connect with fitbit

Hi received my free fitbit charge and having issues pairing it with the s6 edge tried for an hour lol even hard reset it a number of times

Thank guys yeah I downloaded the app and also check compatibility list to still no joy bat after reading the compatibility list and no s6 listed thought why as this been given away if it ain't compatible

It was also given away with the HTC M9 Toby and that isn't on the list either.

Odd as I've got the Edge and one of the free offer fitbit charge's and it's been find since day 1. Never even considered it might not be compatible, it just worked. 

There's been some issue with people trying to set them up via the website instead of on the app. But other than that I can't see anything on the fitbit forums about it either. 

Might be worth posting on there and asking them too?

Thanks for that info @Anonymous. As it works with your S6 that puts a different light on the puzzle. Why it works for some and not others?

Odd as they are both running the same OS

Thanks for raising this. We understand it may be confusing that the S6 isn’t listed on the official compatibility list but rest assured we tested the Fitbit rigorously with the S6 & HTC M9 handsets and found no compatibility issues. We’ve also seen messages from customers on Twitter & Facebook saying how much they love their S6 & Fitbit, so rest assured there should be no compatibility issues here. Is anyone who had issues before still having them?

I presume then if people are having problems with the S6/M9 and Fitbit...it is NOTHING to do with compatibility?
