My Galaxy Ace 4 keeps going mute. Restart brings back all sounds. Do I really have to restart every day or two? Is it a warranty issue because it sounds like software.

If it's as common as Google suggests it is most likely a software bug, so it may not get fixed until they issue an update.

No. Ace 4 came out Oct 2014 so it had kitkat 4.4.4 No updates so far.

As you been advised by all here you can either send it to Samsung or if it is a software issue then you will have to wait until a new update is rolled out to fix it
