lollipop update sony experia z2

Anonymous
Not applicable

Updated my phone to lollipop, since then I cannot answer phone calls, the update is dreadful. I now have to send my phone off for 3 days. Not happy at all. I was told the update hadn't been tested properly. Why give me an update if it's not going to work. awful.

Rather than send it off for 3 (it'll be more than that btw) days, could you try this:
Back up all your important information off the handset.
Connect to pc using pc companion.
Go to update centre.
Click "repair my phone"
This will install lollipop again and wipe whatever was causing the problem (normally something not installing correctly) and end result will be much better experience.

Believe me lollipop has been tested very well on xperia and the beta program in the nordic region has been ongoing since January and still is for upcoming releases.

I factory reset my z3 compact after a few minor bugs like a slow opening dialler app and not being able to apply the downloadable themes (nothing major) and this has solved them. I am now preferring the update especially the notifications.

A factory reset also mostly solved some major lag issues with my nexus 7 2012 so I would always do it now with a major android update.

Nothing wrong with Lollipop and it has been very well tested.
You have a unique issue that can be addressed with a repair or factory reset - simple as that.
