Hi @Anonymous and Welcome to the forum,

You could try the following ;

Remove the battery and use an eraser to clean the battery contacts and the contacts in the phone.

Try another wall charger.

Try another charger cord.

Look at various apps such as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ijinshan.kbatterydoctor_en&hl=en from GooglePlay.

Purchase another Original Samsung Battery.

They can be purchased from some high street shops or online from Samsung Uk or places like MobileFun. A quick google search will highlight these and more places.

Another option is to have Samsung Uk Support take a look at the battery and phone. This will entail sending both off to Samsung.

Sometimes if after a software update a mobile phone can glitch in different ways. It's recommended that a Hard Reset is performed which acts as a spring clean. Before performing this action it's recommended that a back up is performed to retain any saved data in the phones memory. This procedure will not affect any data in a SD Card.

Explanation of Soft and Hard Resets.

I must stress this is a LAST resort.

Phone is covered by a 2 year warranty and battery is 6 months warranty, so you could send it in to be looked at by either o2 or Samsung.
They will accurately diagnose the issue for you if ou get stuck.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
