galaxy note 3 kitkat update

Anonymous

Hi all,

I was just wondering if there is any idea when the galaxy note 3 may get the kitkat update?

I am happy enough now but the newer version should stop some of the lag.

Many thanks

The thing is O2 when asked couldn't really come up with a satisfying answer as to why they take so long to do anything with these updates

This sounds very interesting! is it warranty legitimate?

is it easy to do and are there any cons if I did do that?

thanks

It's real easy and warranty is uneffected.

The only caveat is that your phone must be unlocked (O2 will unlock you for free if on contract http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=Companion,question=ref(User):str(Mobile),CASE=17424 ).

Then you can download official Samsung unbranded firmware and push it to your phone with Odin http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Android-Devices-Samsung-HTC-Sony/HOW-TO-A-Guide-to-using-Odin/m-p/463464#M18334

Easy as pie wink

Cheers MI5 appreciated. Just submitted unlock request. Free for Apple devices but doesn't state cost for others. Any idea?

Page isn't all that clear but it's actually free for all contract devices. Only PAYG is charged £15.

Hmmm Steve Wozniak a bitter former Co Founder.

wink

Just to digress slightly, yes I'm sure he's very bitter, bob. He must fume every time he looks at his bank account.
