Insurance is rarely worth the paper its written on. Search the forums and google for issues before you decide. Consider "self insuring" if you want some peace of mind.

im worried in case i lose it or it's stolen as i couldnt afford to replace the handset at the moment it's insured with p4u just for breakdown replacement

Self insuring is where you put away the same amount as you would pay on insurance in your own bank account each month. Then after a period of time you have money to repair if necessary but you don't have any excess to pay out and no feeble excuses from the insrance company as to why they won't pay you out...

Some bank account's also include mobile phone insurance as part of the package.

The bank account I have cost's £10 a month BUT I do use several of the added features it gives & the £10 a month cost is easily worth it.

My phone is insured via the bank, all they ask for is make, model, imei number & network provider details.
