Visual Voicemail on Android Marshmallow

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a Google Nexus 6P which I'm now using on O2.

Now that Android has added native support in Marshmallow for visual voicemail I hoped this might work but it seems not. Does anyone know whether this is supported or will be in the near future?

Just a quick update...

Our device team have been working closely with Google to work on a solution that we can implement on our network and systems. Due to the complexity of such a task it's difficult to give more info or any kind of ETA, but I will keep everyone updated whenever there's more to share.

VVM will always require the network to enable it regardless.
@Chris_K may know if o2 are planning on this?

Time to ask the question again.  I have a Samsung S6 Edge which has Android M.  Is there a way to make Visual Voicemail work?

Thanks

@Chris_K was awarded the solution so need to ask him.

Without resolution the issue isn't solved?

TBH I never actually thought that was a solution at all. It was simply an update on the current state of play?

Nothing new to share we’re afraid – but the good news at least is that we’re still hopeful and continue to work with Google to explore solutions and implementations.
