Hi a quick question,

I am going to buy the Samsung Galaxy S2 outright from o2 on Pay as you go!

Ive found a great sim only deal from tesco mobile, will this sim work in my o2 phone or will I be required to unlock it? As I don't really want to void the warranty!

I would like to actually go into a shop and purchase the phone, i dont want to unlock it as i dont want to void warranty.

I'm aware of the alternatives such as an unlocked one from amazon but if it works anyway im not too bothered about having it unlocked.

tescos prices for the S2 are in the £450 mark so you can see why id like to get it cheaply from o2.

I have a blackberry curve 8520 currenty which is locked to o2 and a tesco sim works in it i tried it today so wondered if anyone knew if the tesco sim would infact work in the s2?

Also is there anyway to get a discount from o2 if i buy 2 of them?

You are better to go to a shop that actually sells handsets which aren't network locked. Then SIM's will not be a problem.

I understand however they are just too pricey in all physical shops I can find all around the £450 mark and £350 is a real push at the minute!

Its £340 unlocked on Amazon at the moment. That would be your best bet.

Of course if you're happy to go for a used one but in 'like new' condition, they generally float around the £240-£250 mark on eBay.

Ebay would be the last place I would buy a phone, too many insurance scams. Amazon , yes!
