Storage question

So..I couldn't install an update today as it said I hadn't enough space. I have 16gb on my M8 .All my music is on my SD card, and apps and photos only amount to about 6gb. Apparently 'other' folder has about 8gb in it! What on earth is in there? x

Cache files..... If after clearing that, you still have no space available a factory reset would fix any issues you were having. I tend to updates on my PC.

Thanks @anticpated I may have to do that. But only as a last resort. I hate having to reinstall everything lol x

Back up your phone before then all you have to do is restore the up back up after the reset

Settings, apps, swipe across to all and find "the one ring" long press and select "throw into mount Doom"
