Sony Z3 Compact quiet on loudspeaker

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi guys.

I have recently upgraded my phone to the Z3 Compact.

I really like the phone but noticed it's quiet when on loudspeaker and even when on full volume and someone calls it's still bit quiet, comparing to my old iPhone 5s and our new Note 4 anyway...

Can anyone help please? And I'm sorry if the question was asked before, I did search the forum but couldn't find anything. But as MI5 knows, I can be bit blonde sometimes wink

Cheers in advance!!

No he may not be able to help on that specific issue but it is good to ask the experts...which is why I suggested him...

Lovely news on your baby @Anonymous ...(says she thinking of long distant awake throughout the night issues)

I am fine...thanks for asking....just bumbling along in my usual way...LOL

Have you tried a different music app from Google play/ They have different equalizer and sound boosters that may help. Poweramp is pretty good and you can try the trial version to see if there's a difference.

The notifications and ringtones on Z3 are notoriously quiet.
Is music through the loudspeaker louder by at least double?
The amount of notifications I've missed is crazy.
Just wanting to clarify that music through loudspeaker is louder by far.

Thank you jonsie, will have a look.

yes viridis, music through the loudspeaker is louder.

I also keep missing notifications, especially texts and whatsapp messages.

It's an audio bug through the notification system which includes ringtones and alerts.
Until the fix is released the best "fix"(not really as they're still quiet) is to set the following in sound settings.
Clear audio - off
Dynamic normalise on
S force front surround on
You get a increase too if your notification is stored on the sd card.

Good advice @viridis .

Adrianna would never have go to those settings by playing with shop demos.
