Sony Xperia SP woes continue

Anonymous
Not applicable

Here we go again......

I've had 3x Standby system crashes this week.

You notice the time is several hours out and then the phone goes into brick mode! (have to use pin again!)

I've done a repair via Sony Companion but still these events occur.

What can be done?

Yeah, not good, but perfectly normal for Sony slight_smile

12.1.A.1.205 build number showing.

Sony Companion says phone up to date.

I'll try ringing them tmw (0370 number)

If you want a laugh - o2 even suggested "pay the phone plan off and take a new phone on this contract"

O2 (and the other networks) should really be hammering Sony for screwing the SP up.
It was a wicked phone before the 4.3 update but now it's pants - You can't even give them away!!
205 isn't too bad but it's not as good as it was - only hope is 4.4, if SP gets it......

MI5 - do you think the SP can handle Kitkat (4.4)

What do you think has gone wrong with 4.3 and SP ?

The problem is memory resource (availability and usage) so in theory 4.4 should be better as it is more efficient.

Your thread prompted me to get my SP out the drawer to see if it was behaving or not and I found out I'd left it switched on - I was suprised to see that standby seems to be very good Shocked

Great batter life there!

I've emailed Sony via the support website. (auto email reply says 48 hr response) Will see what they have to say now that further down the line. Prefer a written reply.

Is Android getting too generic but saying that Windows is on a load of varying spec devices.
