I've just bought an LG G4 and I'm having problem with reception. I've been with O2 for a number of years and never had problem with reception. I needed a new sim for the phone and don't know whether the problem is the phone or sim. If I turn the phone on and off again the signal is found again but can be lost when phone not in use. Any ideas

Hi @Jojo3 Have a look through this helpful thread about network issues. It helps you check  problems slight_smile http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-ev...

You could also try your sim in another o2 phone to see if the problem persists...

You need to determine if a phone or network fault by swapping sim between phones.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

If you struggle putting your sim in another phone then pop into an o2 store. They will swap the sim for you in minutes and you'll know if it's the phone or the sim.

Sounds like the phone. Either software issue or antenna. But as others have said, sim to a different phone to rule out the sim (highly unlikely to be the cause though)
