Hi guys,
this is my first time with O2 and I've just got a Galaxy Note. I'm having trouble setting up email and wondered if anyone could throw some light on the subject?
My problem is outgoing servers - can't get setup to complete as the outgoing server settings must be wrong. I use Talk Talk as my domain host and my PC email and Blackberry work fine with my domain name email - I get to the outgoing main server but get the message "unable to connect to server"
Has anyone got any thoughts?

You haven't provided enough detail for a precise answer but here is a link to the Talk Talk email settings which you can input manually into the Notes email client...

Hi MI5
Thanks for that but it didn't help. The problem is that we were F2S customers originally who were bought out by Talk Talk and it now seems that they no longer support outgoing servers for smart phones - here is what they say on their web site
"We do not provide an outbound authentication server (addresses @talktalkbusines.net) and you will need to contact your mobile provider for the details of their outbound mail server in order to send mail over a 3G connection."
I've spoken to the O2 guys who were very helpful but re-directed me back to Talk Talk

Sorry MI5 I never got back to you about this. I evenually got it sorted by using the Talk Talk outgoing server. Don't know why or how this worked but it did. Talk Talk decided not to support "local domain" servers and created their own for use for folk that had migrated from F2S and others. Seems odd to me that you would use a different server but who cares it works. My son who has an iphone 4 hadn't been able to get his email working (also ex F2S) and he copied my settings and his worked fine too. He had been trying weeks. Anyway all's well now and everything is working great. Well pleased with the phone.
