If you have just swapped from an iPhone you will need to check your data settings have been set to standard data. You will need to call CS to do this for you.
Otherwise the standard Android settings should be all you need to work OK.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Got this from the One Plus One forum....(Info relating to One+One on the O2 network on PAYG only)

Do you think this looks ok @MI5 ?

Firstly, make a new APN: Go to Settings > Mobile networks > Access point names
Next tap the (+) icon in the top right.
Tap Name and enter O2 Pay & Go Internet then tap OK
Tap APN and enter payandgo.o2.co.uk then tap OK
Tap Proxy and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK
Tap Port and enter 8080 then tap OK
Tap Username and enter payandgo then tap OK
Tap Password and enter word password then tap OK
Leave Server as Not set
Tap MMSC and enter http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 then tap OK
Tap MMSproxy and enter 82.132.254.1 then tap OK
Tap MMS port and enter 8080 then tap OK
Tap MCC and enter 234 then tap OK
Tap MNC and enter 10 then tap OK
Tap Authentication Type and tap PAP
Tap APN type and and enter default, mms, supl then tap OK
Leave APN protocol as IPv4
Leave Enable/disable APN as ticked

Leave Bearer
as Unspecified
Leave MVNO Type.

Now click the three dots at the top right and tap Save.
Click the circle on the side of the new APN you just created. So it turns blue.

The OP might also want to consider some alternatives to MMS if they want to save themselves a little money.
