I recently bought a couple of Samsung Galaxy Ace phones from Carphone Warehouse. They came with Pay and Go O2 SIM cards with a prepaid £10 top up. I understand I had to wait 'up to 24 hours' for the top up to take effect. I have now had them several days and I still can't get onto the O2 network - the phones don't even recognise that there is a SIM card installed! I've chatted with the O2 technical adviser who checked the phones, and the SIM card's details and told me they were all OK. He then asked for my postcode and told me the network was down in my area. I knew this wasn't the case as my old O2 phone was working perfectly and the O2 website said there were no problems in the area. Is there anything I could try? My next step is to take them back to Carphone Warehouse and give their 'geeks' some grief.
