On Sony Xperia S, had the phone for 3 months or so now without problem on PAYG, phone was from Mums contract but she gave it to me. Im using an 02 sim card in it, and it has been fine since I've had it, 3 months + then suddenly I get no signal yesterday and today, I reboot the phone and that message came up? Help guys?

I would contact O2 first of all to check there is nothing wrong with your P&G account or that the phone hasn't been barred in error.
If all is ok there then maybe try a factory restore.

Suspected it was something like that but you need to find out who actually had the phone blocked. It may just be an error but they won't unblock it unless you can contact the relevant insurance company. Trying to find out could be time consuming and difficult but perhaps O2 can point you in the right direction.

So is the handset locked or is the SIM locked?
If the SIM is locked then you can log into your account and get the PUK code.
If the handset is locked, unfortunately you will have to get this unlocked on the network.
Usually it takes 6 months of inactivity for a SIM to become inactive on Pay as you Go.

NO, NO, NO, NO....I just cannot get anywhere, SO
I phone 02 about the problem who tell me to go to point of purchase,
I contact online guru about problem who tell me to go to point of purchase,
I go to point of purchase 02 shop who say we CANNOT DO ANYTHING, CONTACT 02
I then contact 02 who tell me they have no information on who blocked it, and they CANNOT DO ANYTHING, he then advises me to try to get it unblocked at a phone shop
I phone a local mobile shop (unlock puks etc) the shop tells me they CANNOT do anything as it is illegal......
DEAR GOD, ITS A £250 PHONE DEAD! Please advise, im alone.
