O2 any better at updating firmware yet?

It's been a while since I had an O2 locked phone and O2 were never any use at updating the firmware. Sometimes taking longer than 6 months after the manufacturer had released an update. Just for a stupid switch on animation.

So have they improved? I'd like an upgrade from my Nexus 4 and still deciding whether it's worth paying full price for an unlocked phone or not.

Cheers!

Paul.

Nope 😞

It really depends on what your financial circumstance are. If you can afford an unlocked phone, you should think about going that route. You'll always get more timely updates than from a network branded phone, even if O2 has improved their update timing, which, to be perfectly honest, I don't know, as I now only buy unlocked, unbranded phones.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Ionly ever buy sim free phones since waiting forever for O2 to update a Nokia years ago. If you can afford the cash layout it's much the better option.
