90% of the time they are but some early ones, esp, can come direct from Samsung.

It appears I also have a non-O2 Note 3. I did get it fairly soon after it came out.

 

Is there anywhere I can get information on the update for these kinds of phones?

i have a note 3 and a smartwatch 3 and when it was on 4.4.2 it all worked fine and now its on lollipop 5.0 it keeps dropping connection can anyone help please. I have reset,rebooted and cursed at it and it still does not work. I am so unhappy with this update and I am now paying for something that doesn't work.
