Apologies if this is a daft question.....I have tried hard to find the answer myself..

I love my Note 3...no doubt about that ....but there is one thing that annoys me and I can't seem to stop it Smiley Mad

I want to hear my phone when someone calls and sends texts.....What I don't want is it to keep 'tringing' at me every time I get a response from FB or when emails come in slight_frown

I have looked in sound>settings and can reduce the sound of most things

I have also looked at my pull down screen and can mute or vibrate the whole sound set up....

None of this helps. It's annoying...

Also...it didn't happen with my S3.....so I am perplexed...LOL

You need to turn off the notifications within the app settings themselves, they aren't in the main phone settings.
Open the email app and go to settings >notification sound.

Open email.
Touch 3 dots and choose settings.
Touch the account name at the top under manage accounts.
Touch the email address on next page then scroll down to email notifications and take out the tick.

Ok...bear in mind this is my main email address...(which isn't Gmail)

So ....Open email...(which goes straight to inbox)

No 3 dots but 3 lines top left hand side.

Tap those lines and it brings up

Inbox

Priority sender inbox

Recently read emails

Show all folders

So it doesn't bring up settings to choose from

You ready to bail out yet?.....Happy Dance
