1st under settings/about phone it says unknown number

2nd under my account for o2 it says device details "We've identified that the device you're currently using is a Motorola Valocia" but im using a Nexus 6??

if anyone can help i'd appreciate it.

To get your number to show on an android phone you have to put your sim into a phone that allows you to write to the sim.
Android doesn't do this, but any old Nokia, Sony Ericsson, iPhone, BB etc can do it for you.
Valocia is the codename for the Moto Droid Mini in the US so no idea why it's showing that - Give CS a call if you are concerned.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I'd imagine they have a lot of mutual components @MI5 ? Could that be it?

Possibly so - but to add to all the take over conspiracy theories they are code names (Abbagoochie and Valocia) used by Verizon Wireless wink
